“We the People” to me means that people are all different and contribute in different ways. Harriet Tubman is one of the many people I think of when I hear ‘We the People’ because she shows that even though she was treated unfairly, she was still able to do great things for the world. My artwork connects to ‘We the People’ because it shows how we will never forget the people who fought for us and helped improve our country. Even though our world has improved, there are still many people who do not feel included in “We the People” because of discrimination and unfair treatment due to racism and other social issues. Overall, I feel like my work shows how people like Harriet Tubman have helped improve and better our world.
