The phrase “We the People” to me includes people who were part of this American society and helped people, but were not recognized throughout the years. The person who helped change the ideas of who is included in my idea of “We the People” is Barack Obama and some other people, like Rosa Parks because of what they did to include Black people in the phrase. What makes me feel like I belong to my community is that my family is from here and everyone speaks my language. This all connects to my artwork ideas of “We the People” because this and my artwork all explains what “We the People” means to me, and why I believe Barack Obama and some other people helped this community and changed the ideas of me and my understanding of my idea of “We the People”.
