“We the People” means that despite our sizes, color, or gender we are all still humans and should be treated equally. I included Rosa Parks into my idea of “We the People” because she represents a fair defiance, meaning she did something against a unfair rule like sitting in front of the bus when she wasn’t supposed to because of the color of her skin, but clearly that didn’t stop her. I think Claudette Colvin is being left out of “We the People” because before Rosa Parks she was the one who sat at the front of the bus and she wasn’t given enough recognition as the first. My artwork connects to the ideas because it highlights Rosa parks as an activist and the background also highlights the difference of people with different colors.
