I chose Malala Yousafzai because she resembles the meaning behind “We The People.” “We The People” to me means how everyone is brought together, and no matter who you are you belong. Malala shows this meaning because of her determination to help women in her country fight for their rights in order to receive the education they deserve. The detail in my drawing that expresses my idea of “We The People” is Yousafzai’s hijab. Her hijab highlights that no matter what you believe in you still deserve your rights, and given that Malala is Muslim she was treated differently, but now she has grown to fight for herself and others. All in all, I chose Malala Yousafzai for my project because she showcases dedication to including others and working towards equality.
