This person is an acclaimed American poet, novelist, and playwright. I chose this person simply because I was curious about how he went about his work—though the shirt isn’t the same as the one in the photo. He was a poet; he was born in 1901 and died in 1967. And one more thing about him is that he was fighting for racial equality, Black pride, and the authentic representation of everyday working-class African Americans.
