What “We the people” means to me is people coming together to make the world a better place. The details help make a statement about the person I chose to draw because it better enhances or better explains the why I chose this person.
Malcolm X worked to make a change in our community by protesting and debating on whether not black people should be in charge of their financial or their communities. He would fight to make sure black people weren’t being targeted, that’s how Malcolm X helped our community. My artwork connects to the statement “We the people” because when doing this project I made sure to add color and patterns and small details that represent Malcolm X. For example, I did African patterns to express the culture he came from and was supporting to help fight for change.
