In my artwork, I chose to honor Kamala Harris. I think she should be honored in the Tapestry of NY because she fought for criminal justice reform, economic equity, and voting access. She made sure more people were included in the United States by championing civil rights. The details I included to show their personality are a Democratic logo, AKA (Alpha Kappa Alpha) Sorority logo, and an equal rights symbol.
